Hello to ALL,
On this day, I am met with the surging pressure in my body (chest area) that has me once again, considering who I am in this moment that has me questionning the "world" around me and wondering if we see ourselves going, and even more so, if we even want to notice!?
So we are met with Christmas or, the holiday season...and what a "holiday" it is winding up to be!
I can understand the "intelligence" behind our "routines", habits, what some might call "traditions", and I know that whatever I say that might seem like a "criticism" of our "reactions" to this time of year, comes back to me as a light in the mirror, to shine on the person who I am with all of my beliefs, values, and attitudes in line the way they are at this moment.
So who am I that allows for my feeling "pressured" to say something, to dissavow the ongoing "chaos of commercially sustained trances" that I see repeated, year upon year, without noticeable and tangible change in the human condition?!
Who am I now, and how do I choose to participate or not, in the "traditions" that are laid before us by market forces, to be pulled by other's strings, like consumer puppets, or NOT?! How am I at cause, and at effect of the many choices that are laid out before me?
Hmmm, I wonder if at the tail end of the madness, I will be able to claim "I did it My Way!", and feel like I truly have!?

Today, what moves through me is a wave of sorrow accompanied by a frustration with my brethren (men of the world) at our failure to use the incredible power and opportunity we've been given in ways that "matter"; in ways that support and sustain a life, that is inclusive of every human being, and that would allow for a peace that invites every person to move towards their god-like-ness!
I believe that when anyone and everyone is moving with an "intelligence" (inner survivability instinct)all arguments and judgements as to which behaviors or belief system is best,or worse, or good or bad is objectively, up in the air, and bound to be supported by the dominant (world) view simply because of numbers. Just as being angry doesn't make you right (it just makes you angry!), outnumbering others doesn't make you right either, it just makes for more people agreeing on some generalized idea (isn't it funny how we stop agreeing with such general ideas when we get to the nitty-gritty of the details of those ideas and what they actually mean to us individually?)!
So then, what we are left with are the results "we are creating"!!! Are we paying attention? Do we accept that WE are choosing, and creating the results we are getting?! Are we response-able? Do we know and accept that we have the capacity and opportunity to choose differently and to keep choosing up to and until we create the kinds of results we can actually be proud of and joyous with?
I wonder how long we can sustain the present worldview that would have us claim our supposed "smallness", our supposed scarcity, our deficient selves; rather than shifting to a "paradigm" that would have us acknowledge our gifts, our infinite selves, our immense creativity, and the immense abundance of experience that is available to ALL, because of our god-likeness?
Up to and until we are willing to STOP, and to notice that we co-create our world, choice by choice, response by response, we are doomed to habitual, patterns of behavior of thought, feeling, and beliefs that would seem to lead us to our own (earthly/worldly) demise!
So my invitation today, to all men, including our so-called leaders (and those women who would lead as present day men would lead), to seek within themselves the highest order signals of selfhood, and to pay attention to what they are creating. Freedom is not Free...yet the cost of a freedom gained to the detriment of other human beings is a tarnished and discomforting freedom, for which we will pay with our souls and spirits.

Emerging Futures
Louise,
As always, I am moved by your genius, and your willingness to step into your truth and share what becomes clear for you, through each moment you put your thoughts into these fonts on the "page".
The conversation around "leadership" through the Choice Points newsletter and recent blogs moves through me as a rumbling of possibility and truth. And, having the experience of being "male", a man, I find myself fully emersed in the unsettling state (more rumblings) of knowing that my experience of leadership and leading as I have witnessed them so far in my life just don't work for me at all, either!
Yet, in the unfolding of my experience with most of the men and women I know, i have not yet been able to find a space comfortable enough for me to feel able to "let go" and flow out of the "competitive and controling nature" of that "nominalization" that is "leadership", and into something else. The phrase "relax into a new way of being" (as it relates to men - Choice Points, 2006), definitely feels like the direction I must focus on to allow for something new, different, than what I am used to. There has never been an instant of "relaxing" in my experience of leading or demonstrating leadership. It seems to always be about holding on tightly and controling all the perameters I can; and I trust that most men would have a similar experience.
There is a knowing, now, in the depth of my being, that holding on to what is, will almost never get me to what can be, and that change and possibility can only come from choosing, moment to moment, to stand in the truth of my experience, and choosing again, in those moments of clarity, to allow for the unfolding of that truth. Where my experience of leaders, leadership, and leading is one of seeing "men" in various positions, talk about "blazing a trail", "punching through", "capitalizing", "winning", "getting the edge", I suspect that "relaxing into a new way of being" will be an unfamiliar place for many to stand, as it is for me; yet, I too, believe that the continued repetition of the habitual, will only give us more of what we've got or worse!
Although I am not sure how all this will unfold for me, I have a sense that it is only in my intention to create more space for myself that I can allow for others to see what becomes possible for them. And in so "being", allowing for much more than was offered up to me in the first place!?
RAY
Welcome!
I am happy to be part of, as well as hosting, a process that allows for seekers to join in the continuous discovery of our incredible human capacity, and potential.
In inviting you to this "blog", I invite you to honor all of your experience and processes as part of who you have become, and to be open to the de-cloaking of that Self, as part of the discovery of your immense and infinite potential.
And, I also invite you to step into the next moment, as though nothing ever existed before that moment is offered up, so as to create for yourself, the space you need to breathe new thoughts, insights, and possibility into your life.
